poseur

I love the Infinity G35 Coupe. It has nice body lines and flows nicely from front to back. It also has a noticeable exhaust note that is easily recognizable which is like music to my ears. What I don't like about the G35 is when I drive behind one sporting a 'Nissan Skyline 350GT' badge. OK, fine; the G35 is a Skyline in Japan. I get that. But that car is also right hand drive and has more power than the Americanized Infinity version. I don't understand why these people re-badge their cars pretending to be something that it is not. I'll admit, I've gone through many Honda Civics and had my ricer days, but not once did I ever re-badge my car as something else. I definitely had an opportunity to do that on my '00 Honda Civic Si as it was basically a 'poor man's Type-R' but never did I stoop to that level.. I rocked the Si badge with honor!

movie etiquette

Movie experiences are supposed to be entertaining and fun. Do you know what makes them not so fun? Let me start off by saying to Mr. Smell-Good.. lay off the cologne, you do not smell good! One spray is more than enough to mask your funk, but this guy's odor was way overbearing and left a bad taste in my mouth. And now for Mr. Candy-Crinkler.. stop crinkling your candy bag when the movie goes silent. Nobody else wants to hear that annoying sound! And last, but not lease, to Mr. Kicker-Chair.. stop kicking my flipping chair!! I thought I made it obvious by scooting up and looking back at you. Next time, I'll just make a scene and disrupt everyone else's movie experience so we both can look and feel like asshats.

time warner cable

I just lost some respect for Time Warner Cable. How is it that one location of a city has different service compared to another location of the same city? I mean, I still live in the same city, I still pay TW the outrageous high price for mediocre internet service and basic cable.. but yet now that I'm only about 5 miles away from my last location, I get less channels without a cable box. So if I want those 70 channels back, I'm forced to get another cable box... UGH! I don't watch enough television in my bedroom to justify a higher monthly payment but it does justify a nice rant!

Man, Verizon FIOS is looking so much nicer now. Too bad I won't give them another penny for screwing me for 6 months strait and then sending me to collections for a mistake made on their part two years after the fact. You just can't win these days to find a nice service provider that has great customer service and products that they stand by.

empty parking spaces

So I pull up to the mall, proceed to enter the parking structure entrance already knowing that the mall is going to be jam packed, I go strait up to the upper levels.

When it comes to parking, I always look for corner spots to lessen the chances of getting door dings. If I can't find a corner spot, I'll check for empty spots surrounded by cars that are 4 doors since their doors are shorter in length; again lessening the chances of door dings. When it comes to mall parking, I look for empty spots towards the top of a parking structure where entire rows are completely empty.

So back to my rant, I park my car and there isn't another parked car within 10-15 rows. When I come back to my car, to my amazement, there are cars parked on both sides of me! Are you kidding me?! Besides the 3 of us, there are no other cars within 10 parking spaces. C'mon people.. REALLY?!

first come, first serve

So I'm at my local U-Haul getting ready to pick up a truck I had reserved for my move. This place starts their Saturday hour of business at 7am. I get there at 6:45am as I am very eager to start my move. I end up being the first one there and about 10 minutes later some other guy shows up. Once the clock strikes 7am, the other dude rushes for the door once the clerk unlocks it.. WTF! This guy clearly sees me when he gets there AFTER me and totally disregards that fact. I guess this guy has never heard of the term "first come, first server". Or maybe he has and he is just a plain old douche-bag. Man, some people..

windshield wipers

If you are as passionate about cars as I am, then you're just as critical as myself when it comes to having a nice and clean car. I try and wash my car as often as possible, once every week if time permits. I even do washes myself because I have had one too many bad experiences at local car washes. Another thing to mention, I don't have the luxury of washing my car at home since I live in an apartment complex so I drive to a do-it-yourself car wash about 5 miles away.

So with all this in mind, I lead you to my latest rant.

I'm driving home from the car wash with my windows up, A/C is blasting, and my music blaring. My car looks great and I'm feeling pretty good about myself. Then all of a sudden I start seeing water spots all over my windshield and I think to myself, WTF! The sun is shining and not a cloud is in site. Then another blast of water falls onto my windshield and then I notice it.. The driver right in front of me says to himself "..hey, I think I'm going to turn on my windshield wipers while I'm driving." What the flip is this guy thinking?! I mean c'mon.. couldn't you have waited until you came to a complete stop BEFORE turning on your windshield wipers to spray off your dirty windshield? Thank you Mr. Inconsiderate for wasting my time and putting water spots all over my car.. I hope you get a nail stuck in your tire when you pull up into your driveway.

turn signals

When it comes to driving on the road, I like to be courteous to drivers just as I would expect them to be courteous to me. But once in a while, you run into that one dill-weed driver who cares only about them self and thinks the world revolves around them. I'm referring to drivers who do not use their blinkers to let oncoming traffic know that they are turning. Okay, so I don't use my turn signals 100% of the time but that is because I don't use them when there are no other vehicles around. However, when other cars are present, I use them all the time.

I get really upset when I'm trying to exit my apartment complex to turn left and inconsiderate drivers turn into the same complex without using their blinkers. Not only do I need to wait before they make their turn so I can ensure its safe because some people use this turn-in as a U-turn junction, but in that same instance - had that driver use their turn signal, I could have made the green light 50 yards away.. but now I need to sit through the whole light since this intersection is a no right on red. AARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!

And since we are on the subject of blinkers, how about those who use them in excess. I'm referring to those freeway drivers who change lanes but forget to turn their blinker off. I go nuts when I see this sort of behavior because I'm the type of driver who will let another driver in front of me if they use their turn signal unlike those who just jolt in front of me while driving like a bat out of hell... RAGE!!!

Okay, now I feel a little better; end of rant.

prologue

Have you ever had one of those days where you wish you could turn back time and start the day all over again? Or how about having one of those WTF moments (excuse my french) where you cannot believe something just happened? Well, I'm here to tell you that you're not alone as I, more often than not, experience these occasions.

Let's just face and accept the fact that there are a lot of stupid people.. -strike that- less intelligent human beings amongst us and we must learn to deal with it.

This writing space here will act as an outlet to vent my bottled up frustration which will at the same time, act as a coping mechanism. We all know that keeping bad emotions inside is very unhealthy so what better way to let it all out to keep one's sanity!

Oh, and I would like to add that if you would like to rant and rave here, my writing space is your writing space! After all, misery loves company..
